Raw Eggs

Now please, no one type eww thats gross or w/e u ppl feel like whoring this thread up. I need to know about this, b/c im on a new workout routine, and it consits of drinking one raw egg, mixed with milk, sugar and vanilla. This is to give me the protien to work out with, instead of the powder. Is this alrite? I have been reading about it and some ppl say no because of that disease and some say its fine as long as you can tell teh difference between a good egg and a bad egg. Like harsh smelling and very liquidy. Well yeah just wanted to get some peoples views on this that are into this kinda thing.

Just buy the protein shakes they taste better and easier to bring with you I have just recntly started a cycle have 3 shakes a day and 4000 calories in my diet plus some other suplements.

I dont mind the raw eggs, 2 be honest i like them, and i work out at home.

i used to eat 2 raw eggs everyday in the morning...
but then someone also told me that u can get sick from eating them raw and i should boil them a lil...but im too lazy to boil eggs so i stopped taking it...

however if that theory or myth is untrue id like to retake 2 eggs a day...i feel awesome with the intake of 2 eggs before anything else...

absolutely right. Used to date a guy who drank 3 raw eggs every morning. Did it for almost a year. Drank them one morning.. went to work.. didn't feel well.. came home.. by 3pm he was in the hospital with a bad case of samonella poisoning. Really its not worth it. There is better things out there to substitute for protein like a shake or a can of tuna. I wouldn't put your health in jeopardy for a diet. That type of food poisoning can kill you. Take care and be safe

u get more protien from a can of tuna anyways...plus it tastes better and wont get u sick...but a protien shake and a well balanced diet will do u more good than chuggin raw eggs

meh PB sangwiches!!! I got this advise from soem huge massive muscle bound monster that was super nice to help this scranny bastard through highschool learn a thing or two bout bodybuilding. ya he would eat like thre e or more before a workout it was actually fun to watch

I used to do it. Actually I would just drink the egg whites. The yolks contain the cholestrol and fat. By far tuna (canned in water) is the cheapest protein you can get. I used to have a spoon of peanut butter now and then. It is rich in omega 3 fats (good fat), has a bit of protein and took care of the carb craving. Protein shakes are esential if you can't stomach a can of tuna, but @ like $0.**/can, the tuna is hard to beat. Each can contains 30g of protein, 0g of fat and less than 1g of carbs.

This is damn good. I have 2 eggs mixed with milk and vanilla. Its got everything, protience and Calcium. Well yeah i was talking to soem people on a work out board and they all said you can tell the difference between a good egg and a bag egg. WHich is true, the bad ones are very liquidy and smell bad. Also the yolk is high in chlorestrol the good one, not the one that effects ur blood. There are 2 kinds, and that is a rumour based on that type. Its like nautral sugar in a sense.

but still...raw poultry products harbour bacteria, its not just chicken thats bad u can get salmonella from u can get it from fresh chicken...also again, u get more protein from a can of tuna or a protein shake

nobody does the raw egg thing no more...there are much better alternatives...I highly recommend the tuna, ur not gonna find anything else in nature that deliivers pound for pound more protien per serving

thanks guys!! i used to take whey as well..but it taste like crap..ughh yet again its safe to take though...
TUNA is the best...it tastes pretty good too...

*AHEM*...i dunno where ure gettin ur info from, but URE WRONG! there's no such thing as good cholesterol...cholesterol is cholesterol is cholesterol. wut URE talking about is LDL vs HDL...one of which is bad and one of which is good...ur homework is to figure out which is which and wut they r.

as for the salmonella part...cynical is absolutely correct...he gets 1 000 000 points...u on the other hand, u get a big fat 0.

those powder's arn't "fake" ... depends what you take and what you need.. I'd take those powder's any day over raw eggs... and they actually taste pretty good, especially with milk
