Point and shoot camera

Hi Folks,

So I am going on a trip in Nov and I am looking for a point and shoot camera. Budget is $250-300 inc taxes.

So my question to all the photography expert here is, which is the best P&S camera in that price range. Following are some of the ones I am looking into:

Sony Cyber-shot® Digital Camera W290
Sony Cyber shot Digital Camera w270

Canon SD 780 IS <--- first choice
CANON SD 1100 IS
CANON SD 1200 IS
CANON SD 880 IS
CANON SD 960 IS

Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Thanks for reading.

Cheers!

canon all the way man!

What will u be doing on your trip??? if u are going on a party trip, u might wanna go towards pentax's waterproof and shock proof cameras... There quality of picture isnt as good.. but if u want a camera that u wont worry about getting wet or dropping when ur drunk... this is it.

it is not a party trip, it is more of a travel/tourism trim.

just get the canon that fits your budget...preferably the higher end of your budget, its better to have more and not need it rather than less and need more...buy the most camera you can afford

I have Canon SD750. No complaints. Takes great photos, small and light, 7.1 megapix, 3" LCD and its very easy to use.

canon is always a good for any kind of camera! only thing i dont like about them at times is that some models dont have the option to put the flash on manually!
