What are your views on Peak oil production beliefs?
Some say its as early as 2013, personally I believe because there are so many resources available, they will find way to extract the un extractable. Peak oil will not happen for a very long time in my eyes.

Peak oil is a very real issue ... sure you can extract the un-extractable at the moment but you have to look at the EROEI (energy returned on energy invested) for example if it takes 2 barrels of oil worth of energy to extract one barrel of oil thats a negative EROEI and no one would go for that .. how much money would you give me if I told you for every dollar you give me I'll only give you back 50 cents.

This issue is way to complex for my one simple post.. but the issues with Peak oil don't happen when production peaks (which it has) it happens on the down slope of the Hubbert graph.. why because as oil production drops off, the demand for Oil isn't statisfied, also a drop in oil production does not mean a drop in Demand this causes the prices to rise, as oil continues to have wells dry up and not enough new fields coming online to replace the ones that are depleted, production will continue to drop with the demand continuing to soar as the developing worlds and the developed world continue their expansion.

This will result in major and huge economic shifts that have never been seen before ...


call me an alarmist but I'm being prepared...
