I was reading djxquizit's post, where to meet women, and noticed some people suggesting meeting women online. Well, I am also looking for a girl and trying to figure out some locations to meet some decent women (I'm in Hamilton so I may be doomed )

Anyway, wondering if people who have met women online could post the location (URL) or whatever of where they have met some girls. Maybe you can post some tips or experiences (good or bad). I hear more and more people meeting online, falling in love and getting married and living happily ever after..... Thanks for your info/input.

Some people do not like going to the normal venues that you meet people at, and may not work somewhere where you have the opportunity to meet people.

As corny as it may seem to a close minded individual, it can work for some people.
Where else can you lay out exactly what you are looking for in a possible "mate" and have a good chance of finding it?
Bar scene is tired, the grocery store IS corny, the gym.......even worse. Try "hitting on" someone in most other everyday surroundings.

"What are you doing after work?"
"I see that you like fresh Melon, want to go get dinner?"
"Nice shoes...............Wanna F***?"

You're pretty much limited to workplace and friends of friends when it comes to finding someone with the same interests and an attraction to. The net gives a buffer zone to weed out crackheads before they know where you live. It also helps people to get past our prejudices in finding compatability.

It' almost getting to be to much, this dating and all it's associated crap, just to find out that this person is a moron. Sometimes you just want to meet someone that you have something in common with for a long term deal, and not just a 'bang'. Although..............that's not always a bad thing either.

Thanks Torrey. I am by no means shy, it just seemed like a good idea to use the internet for the purpose of meeting girls (I use the net for everything else). Plus, everyone on the dating sites or chat rooms or whatever are there for the same reason.....to meet people. Then again it really does seem to just happen when you least expect it. A buddy of mine used to work doing construction. He worked some weekends to get on the bosses good side. One weekend the boss decided to bring his daughter to work. They have been dating now for almost a year, go figure eh, he never expected to meet a girl on the job site.

started off as somethin innocent, chat off and on...meet up a few times and then BAM it all went good from there...its pretty corny no doubt but hey u cant pick and choose where u meet special people, things like that just happen ya know...its hard to find a girl that can deal with my nonsense and now I found one and that rocks!

my last two girlfriends were both met online, one lasted three months but we still talk, and now she's in travel and tourism and can get me good deals.
and the second one, the current one, is a bartender so free drinks for me...too bad i don't really drink.

anything is possible... i remember reading cynikal mindset writing about girls will come when you don't go look for it desperately.... however, online can be one good source... it can be a source to expand your friends circle as well... just like a forum (TCC), without it, civics enthusiasts wouldn't gather together so easily... so online is no doubt one source for friends or girls... not all guys are out-going and can hit things off easily face to face with the girl they are interested in... my last girl was off some program called "mIRC"... it was gay... she was totally different shortly after we dated for 2 months? haha... then the girl i'm happily with right now... i met just her through a friend... so i guess.... online is an option, but it is still better if its through a friend or something... just my opinion...

Woot I satarted a post without even starting it HA! Well to ad to the list of places to go online where i hav emet a few local yocals and now some current friends was on yahoo chat ! Like in the chat room entitled to ur area mine being hammertown. But honestly havent had any luck online though
Its so true that special someone is just peeking around the corner but most likey ull meet her through a friend . Or meet some one for the first time only to find out that u have mutual friends already! Its a small world and you only need to keep in touch which is my what my problem was ... I work too bleeking much!
