Need Tech Help: MS Office Installer
#4
this was a big issue with 2000.
the first time a user runs any office application, it wants to run a few 'installers' even though you can function by just clicking cancel.
if you pop in the cd and just keep clicking OKAY instead of cancel, they'll stop coming.

Yeah I tried to log in with Admin rights, but the problem is that the computers is an image of another user's in Australia. It has a banking application that uses half a partition of the hard disk as a subsystem, and I don't have the administrator password. The computer is 2 years old and with their password policies it was likely lost in the iterations.
I did find a fix though, I restored the system to July 1st when there was no problem and it did the trick.
I also managed to get a link to Download MS Office 03 Automatically, so if this comes up again I'm safe.
Thanks for the help guys.
