look what i found
 

i was coming home from the store with my girl and as i pulled up my driveway i could see a squirrel laying flat on the driveway next door....thinking it was dead i went over to see it. as i got close it stood up and came right to me....it was a little baby, its eyes are still blue...thinking on what to do with it....A.S.A.P came to mind, but they will just put it down....now being the animal love my girl is...she just wouldnt let me do that....so now im stuck thinking on what im going to do....take it to be killed, or let it be so any of the cats around my area can have it....now i looked around and didnt see any other squirrels around watching it.....so i guess i got my self a pet squirrel for now....its such a suck to, curls right up to you when holding it and eats from your hands

see if ya can find a sanctuary or something along those lines where they'll raise and release it :)

isnt it illegal to take in animals that supposed to be roaming around free in the city?

i would personally call one of those animal shelters and double check before you get a fine or something.

i found a baby bird injured on my front porch so i killed it, might sound mean but little buggger woulda died if the squirells or cats got to it

how would you get a fine? lol when they search your house for squirrels?? and even then i don't think it's illegal to save an animal.. it's different if he was kidnapping a regular squirrel...

search your house for squirrels lol, im sure the ministry of enviroment wont find out, if you dont make a really big deal out of it.....

Be careful with him (or her) if you have other pets in your house. I cought one last year after the people across the street trapped and killed its mother. I ended up only keeping it for a day because it had TONS of flees. I'd give him a good bath in some flee junk if your going to keep him inside.

and I dont think its illegal to keep a wild pet. I have a ton of them.

well for now im going to nurse it and introduce it back to the wild when its ready to go...did alote of research on the net on what to do and stuff.

Yeah.

It kinda sucks though, you do something thats right for the animal, but you have the potential to get screwed over it.

Pet squirrels must be pretty cool.

i'd do the same if i had a spare hamster cage

but i hate pets, it's hard enough caring for myself ahaha
