Nothing is going to happen. Can't believe were paying 500% more than other provinces in Canada, I gotta get out of this **** hole province. Hopefully we hear good news out of this b/c insurance rates these days are rediculous and they're just getting higher and higher :fight:

90hatchsi 23-Oct-2003 05:00 PM

Nice to hear.

90ls 23-Oct-2003 05:02 PM

About time someone says something.

Hopefully we will see a change.

that's because other provinces have different insurance laws/regulations and in places like BC they have public insurance which means its run by the government and cheaper.

What in Gods name are you talking about?

punkindrublic 23-Oct-2003 08:28 PM

freezing rates aren't gonna help most.... i work for like 1.5 months just to insure my car.... and a lot of people pay a lot more then i do

Notorious 23-Oct-2003 08:41 PM

Hopefully, if the rates do freeze, it will save me some money.

Exactly, all three parties had various plans to deal with auto insurance.

this also means that ANY discount's that anyone WAS going to get, will now be null and void.

example.......if you were turning 25 this year, and were expecting a drop in your rates, you can now forget about it. (that's what I was told by one of my broker friends)

sure, we might all get a 10% discount eventual, but I'll tell you this......the insurance companies will get the money back one way or another......just you wait and see.

Am I pestimistic? Nope, just realistic.....you would be too if you saw what they have been slowly doing over the past 5 years.

The only reason he's doing this, is becuse he said he would.......what I really want to see, would be a drop of 25% or more.....THAT would be impressive, but I know it ain't gonna happen.
