Laptop Cooling Pads??

Anyone use one of these??..

My laptops are starting to get really hot.. any good ways of keeping them cool??

yea. Just use it on a hard surface and not on your lap, bed etc

i have a cooling pad; sorta does the job

try downloading a program called speedfan; will tell u the exact temp of ur laptop
if it's too hot, clean out the heat sink w/ compressed air and check to see if ur fan(s) are working properly

I have a cooling pad cause my laptop overheats without it. I got it from Tiger Direct and it does the job.

if your laptop is overheating yot might want to fix the problem rather than band aid it. Like said a good cleaning of the fan and processor heatsink, also check for rouge programs running in the background that are sucking resources and causing the processor to work extra hard all the time

yeah cooling pads will make a bit of a difference...i use to work for dell computers awhile ago and we werent allowed to call them laptops because we got sued by someone whos laptop got so hot it gave them 3rd deg. burns on there legs. we gotta call them portables. haha. myself at home i justhave mine on a docking station.
