Into the fire - about Marshall Law in Toronto during G20

Thoughts?

Did anyone attend the G20 protests?

I wondered the same thing, Gurv. Don't know too many people who are going to watch a YouTube clip that's two-hours in length, although there may be some who have the time. If it's even over ten minutes, lots of people complain, lol...

When I get a few hours free, might check it out. We did watch the protests live, though.

Some people complain and press everything no matter what the issue. There are many and I cant stress the word many unhappy and unfulfilled people in the world Sha.

I do not control the terms or policies at youtube, I only control them here and in my house. I would like to think as a Canadian I also have some input as to how Canada is ran (lol, reaching on thinking my vote matters).

The interesting thing Sha is this 2+ hour video depicts how many peoples rights and liberties were breached during the G20. Its rather scary if you watch it. I am unsure if you have worked downtown Toronto or have even been there but I have. Its scary to see the places where I have walked freely under marshall law with guards, police, fences only to stop people from having the same freedom I had not so long ago.

one of my friends husband was working whole weekends in a building, while the protests were going on bellow on the streets.

also in these kind of protests, rights are bound to breach....there were way to many things going on and were on steak, so they had to do what they did to keep things under control i guess.

both sides should be blamed

PS: still wondering how to post 2 hr vid on youtube, paid service etc?

Was your friends husband working as a guard or just working at an unrelated g20 job?

Rights are never meant to be breached. Rights are meant to be enforced by the law. As a law abiding citizen there is no reason your rights should be breached unless it is for the greater good (ie ride program). Hearding Canadian citizens, then detaining them for long periods of time and or assaulting them (there have been charges laid against police) is not what Canada is about.

Just because there is 1 bad apple in a crowd of 5 doesn't make all 5 subject to the same punishment as the 1 bad one; though sometimes birds of a feather flock together even comes to my mind.... but watch the video, its interesting.

The only people to blame are those who broke the law and should be punished. A peaceful protest and march to my knowledge isnt against the law though there may be some bylaws or ordinance someone else can chime in about. The next people to blame are the officials and those who broke their oath to enforce a criminal act. They should be punished.

As for the 2+ hour video. After a certain amount of uploads I believe Youtube opens up your account for longer video hosting.
