immobilizer question
ok i cant find my last thread that everyone replied to so ill make the question plain and simple and maybe someone could PM me the answer....
how do immobilzers work ? like heres the question this is what someone told me and im woundering if its true cause if it is that scary how easy it is....
ok say i had a plain copy of a key to a 2001 GSR (which is obviously immmobilizer equiped) but the key doesnt have the chip in it... is it true all you have todo is take a obd2a ECU, you take the old ecu out of the 2001 gsr with the immobilizer and then plug your obd2a ecu in and then you can use your copied key and it will start the car even tho it doesnt have the chip in the key ??
pm me if u dont want to post... thanks...

no it wont work,
here is the deal.
in order for a chipped key to work in the first place the chip has to be pretty much next to the ignition hole if its not it wont start wether it has a chip or not.
so just changin the ecu wont do nothing. the ecu is the brain of the car not the brain of the imobalizing unit. its like ur body, ur brain is the main unit that makes everything work but without ur muscles in ur arm ur brain is useless and ur hand wont work when u jerk off.

or if someone wants to come do this to my cousins car for him, will pay cash.... just to make it so he can use any regular copied key instead of the chipped ones.... its a 2001 gsr.... doesnt want the immobilizer so cash for someone to come do it but preferably just send out a helping hand on telling us how todo it ourselves make it our own little project.... anyone thats bored that wants to lend a hand is welcome....
pm if nessary as i know some of this info might not be fit to be put out there for everyone too see as it could be used in the wrong way.....
thanks in advance for the info (just need to know what we need and how todo it)
