Ebay I lost my Titles

Loggin in today, the first time in awhile, I noticed I lost all my titles.
I'm here when I can, and I still send people here, and give support when I'm here.

What else is required for a Gear Head/Supporter?

I also lost my gearhead title, but that was shortly after I noticed the gearhead section was gone.

The section was terminated due to lack of activity in it and the usergroup was then terminated.

For what it's worth:
With a gear head Title/Tag/Status it gives up the ability of someone provin to have Honda Knowledge, and thus maybe a little more 'pull' in car Q&A.
For myself having the title and the few perks, it gives me a sense of accomplishment and drive to attend the site, and be helpful.

Thanks for looking into it Rog', I don't think we've had an oppertunity to meet each other yet.

even without gear head section, your knowledge is still and could be useful in tech area/performance section etc.

same goes for ol dusty, share your knowledge in other areas of the forum, like i mentioned above it has same great value as it did in gear head section.

I agree with getting rid of the gear head section. it's not needed. I prefer to help people, rather than talk amongst 'ourselves'.

I think most feel that way, too. Which is why it was inactive lol. doesn't mean our titles had to be taken too.

Yea, section and group was nuked.

There were complaints about inactive members and a dead section.

From 8/10/2011 to 10/01/2011, you didn't post once. That there alone is enough for you to be considered inactive and gone.
You were one of the reasons some people complained. ie: why does so and so get a tag and doesn't do anything.

Roger is helping out on the admin side of things while we fully migrate over to CF. A new design is being worked on and will be launched shortly.

People who like the community and cars will post and help others, with or without a tag. The idea has worked on other sites though it just never took off here. It couldnt be fixed and no one wanted to take the helm so now it is gone.

A pm about this would have been best as I could have answered it right away, i dont usually lurk in the Chit Chat area.

I don't care either way about titles personally. I appreciated the gearhead status while it was there, it was like a badge of honor but wither way, I'm sure many have noticed I try to help where I can. If those in need are helped by me, they usually thank me and that's good enough. No title ever said thanks.

I would have sent a PM, but I can't. and I'm not clearing 800msgs out of my inbox.(literally).
I agree with what you say, but as for my support, I do what I can, when I can. I am busy with life, but when I try and help out your forum, and lose a few years worth of status over 2 months of absence... I dunno, I guess we're all just another user.

Gearhead stuff was created June 2010, 15 months old. As a team / section / group / branch of the forum staff , the GH group itself became stagnant. When the forum started changing over some ranks were not moved or kept. It wasnt just you f8i, everyone who had the title lost it, even some admins.

If someone wanted to run a gearhead team I certainly would be all ears in having the graphics created etc. If you have the time f8i, then we should talk but there will certainly be a commitment to it all.

We are all just users, and users who carry a badge that sets them apart above and beyond regulars should act as such. A badge doesnt make you a gearhead, wrench turner or a civic tuner, just being one does. The badge represented an idea to organize a group of techies under one branch, the groups failure was the sum of all peoples limitations. No one person is to blame for the gearheads tags being removed, but certainly no one user was the reason the idea was created.

Anyhow, your question has been answered. It should have been sent via PM.
