Horse Power TV (Civic-Sat & Sun.TNN)

Make a printout of this page for future use.....
(originaly posted on the 6th/april.....just a reminder)

Sat. 1:30pm & (repeat)Sun 9:30am, on TNN. They are doing up a Civic over the course of a few months....(93 coupe 1.5L)...ie..... cold air intake, suspension, wheels, NOS... and they actualy show the dyno results after the mods. (breifly)

They also had an episode dedicated to the import scene back in November 22-23 I think. (drags, car shows, a COMPLETE DO-UP OF A CRX....body package and everything) I ordered the video, and when I get it , I'll show you guy's.

Go to www.horsepowertv.com to check it out or get your butt out of bed and whatch it. I saw all the episodes earlier in the year, and they were pretty cool. (they are repeating all of them over the next few months.

<<<<<<<<SHOW DATES FROM THE WEB>>>>>>>>

Sat.--may--11--2002---nos (civic)
sat.--may--25--2002---How much wheel can fit? (could be used for a honda)
sat.--june--01--2002---db drag racing (stereo)
sat.--june--08--2002---coilover/wheels (civic)
sat.--june--15--2002---short shifter (civic)
sat.--june--22--2002---front/rear lights (civic)
sat.--july---06--2002---front/rear (body kit?) (civic)
sat.--aug---10--2002---hot import nights/stereos (could be the CRX one, not sure)

That's what they say on the web site. Don't go crapping on my head if they change them around. :fustrated

I'll ty and keep you updated....

Saw an episode today. Was it a D16Y8?? Anyways, they put that front mount CAI by Aerospeed and some hooker header and some exhaust and they said it picked up like 10whp. Is that right?? I was pretty surprised when they did the base line, 87whp, and then did it w/the mods, ~97whp.

But Steve did they show the the dyno chart? I'd be more interested to see the different curve then just what the peak hp was.

Hey Duy, Just watch it tomorow at 9:30 in the morning on TNN...... remember to set your clocks ahead 1 hour tonight(get up early to make sure you see it) and yes I do remember them showing the charts during some episodes but, record it because they don't spend too much time on it. almost forgot.....they have a buget of 8000-8500 $$$ including the price of the car.

For that episde they didn't show the dyno chart. They so far spent about half the money on their total budget. I say for the rest they should get NOS

Don't worry about it......TNN didn't show the Civic episode today......maybe tomorow They said what next weeks show will be, and I didn't see anything about the Civic. but they have done this before (it said nothing about it, only to find out that they stuck it at the end of the show, when I watched a taped one before) I don't know why they do that

"It’s back to basics as we show you how to tackle a simple carb and intake swap to gain more horsepower in a few hours at home. We’ll turn our budget tuner into a real hot rod Honda with nitrous. Will we blow up the engine before we blow our budget?"

This is gonna be great!

I see you went and took a look at the show info?! You'll like that episode. (saw them all last year)
I can't wait for "Mother's Import Car Show" to get reaired. Nothing but 30 min each week of tunners info/show coverage/tests/mods..........(It is basicaly a "NOPI" video. It ran late last year to early this year. I think it was on "The Speed Channel" Or it could have been on TNN as well...I can't recall. (at least a dozen episodes)

Horse Power TV & the show right after it are just as informative for the "tunner" cars as they are for Ford's & Chevy's. That's why I watch them, and other shows as well. (I don't always want to pay someone else, to do something, when I can do it myself) (doesn't it feel good to say, "Yeah, I did it myself!", when soneone likes something that you did to your car?)
