Got my wheels mounted & balanced at wal mart

In my other thread I was debating on going to my local wal mart, but they turned out to be a great place in the end. Got my snow tires mounted and balanced for $42 + tax and so far its great. No vibration at all on the highway and no scuffs on the rims.

Im happy with the service there. Just a heads up.

The words "walmart" and "wheels" in the same sentence scare me....

I think its the kind of thing, that it depends which one you go to, I imagine the level of quality varies (in automotive atleast) from store to store depending on who is running it...

sometimes you will be happy and other times you will be furious.

They pay there employees no more than 10 bucks an hour, and if employees scratch or damage the car the worst thing that happens to them is they get written up which is a laughing matter. People who get that kind of wage usually dont care of the quality of there work LOL. Some stores are better than others but all i can say is nobody go to oakville, its terrible

I got my Hankook Z212's mounted and balanced on steelies in the summer at walmart in Rochester, they did a great job.

Its only mount and balance on steelies, how can they **** that up? and if they do, you just go back.

If i was getting tires mounted and balanced on rims, not steelies, then I wouldn't use wal-mart.

be scared they would scratch nice rims or mess them up, steelies is one thing....$300 or $400 a pop rims are another. scratch the steelies i'd never notice anyone, scratch volks or something and it would get messy
