Dude Your Getting A Dell.

WOW sounds like a pain in the azz

Here's a story about a guy who got a new Dell, which requires you to agree to the licenses on first bootup, if you want to use your computer. Anyone who knows anything about software licenses knows that they're sometimes more than just long text you have to agree to before you use software, they're also legally binding agreements that sometimes have outrageous stipulations. And they require you to read them before you agree to them.

The rub? None of the software licenses are included in the boxes they ship you (If you open up the backup CD wrapping, you automatically agree to the license), and you can't use your computer to read them until you've already agreed to them. Could be big trouble if you plan on returning the software.

Read the story @ the link, it's insane, and kind of mind-numbing when it comes to the mentality @ Dell

That's almost like the same thing that happened when I bought Pinnacle software to transfer analog video to digital.

In order for you to read the instructions or even look at/install the PCI interface card you had to break a seal.

Sneaky bastards :shooter:

Im sorry but this person is the most **** human being ive ever heard of...Like just hit the key like the other thousands of people that buy the notebooks:shrugs: yah he found a flaw, Dell knows about now, thats how things get fixed  ... but to take it as far as he did, like threatening to take it back, cummon...get over it... get a life

Some people are particular about what they're agreeing to (which is a good thing), but Dell should have at least supplied the licenses even if nobody reads them!
