You should definitely GO...I have family there and they just love it. Plus there is no income tax, modern infrastructure, 80km/h speed limit in the city, and no speed limit outside of the city, the latest electronics (items that don't even reach the shores of North America), and just basically a really beautiful wealthy city. One thing to note is that they are very strict about outsiders especially on traffic violations. Other than that, great place to be, especially if you enjoy the sun.

my buddy was raised there and he said it has its good and bad sides. I would definitely go though.

U.A.E. is a sick part of the world...so much wealth and all that accompanies it (good and bad)...if u dont go there better be a good goddamn reason...and a woman wouldnt be one of them

my old buddy from highschool is from there, and he's back there now for university. That country is just pure money. You'll see cars you've never even thought of before. 700hp range rovers, etc.

im going this summer, i have family that work there and are making 3 times what they made here in USD, so after the converion it works out to be alot of money.
i;m looking forward to going, i'd say take the opportunity and go. what job position? teaching? they make decent coin (US coin!)
when i go this summer im guna try to land a 2month job doing anything to pay for skool.

I work for a construction company and Dubai is building some very crazy stuff. There's an Island / Peninsula that they are building (yes, building land) extending 14km out into the Gulf and will be homw to 500,000 people. The company I work for is setting up an office over there and will most likely have their fair share of projects. It's basically Construciton Management.

I have NOT been offered a job, I have not even pursued one...There has just been a lot of buzz around the company about Dubai and last week an e-mail was sent out telling about how amazing life is over there (basically advertisements to pursue people to come).

Money wise, I have no clue how or what I would be paid. I think that at this exact moment I am not ready for this, but within the next year (let's say after next christmas when we start to freeze) I may find myself down there.

My buddy works there he lives like a king, hes making an insane amount of money tax free. The company pays for house, he has a driver. The only he complains about that booze is expensive, and thats why I could never work there. I need my scotch.
