Man Killed in Van Rollover

This happened litterally across the street from my fiance, Holly's, house on kennedy road about 3/4km south of stouffville road.

About 30 seconds before that van crossed the road and took out Holly's neighbours mailbox, was where Holly's mother was just passing this van full of shouting drunk kids, she was returning back home from visiting with that neighbour.

When she got out of her car at home, she thought she heard a crash sound, but thought nothing of it.

Few minutes later, cops, firetrucks, ambulances everywhere. So Holly and her mom decide to drive back up the road to see what happened, and told her sister at home where they were going, who was watching tv and not really paying attention. After they left, the neighbour called Holly's house, all histerical and in panic, thinking it was Holly's mother in the accident who had just left.

The sister, thinking it was Holly and he mother who were just in the accident, she bolts out of the house and runs up the street in tears. They all find eachother, thankfully. They watch for a while as 4 of the jack-asses make a run for it and the search helicopters look for them.

They head back home in safety...

To make matters worse, Holly's sister has a pet bird (a cocatial) who she left in the bedroom and closed the door when she left so the dogs they were babysitting wouldn't get to her. Sadly upon returning to the house they discover there were two of the dogs hiding under the bed in that room, they got to the bird and killed it. Holly's sister loved that bird to death, and it just goes to show you that drinking and driving affects EVERYBODY!

If that van had been there 30 seconds earlier, it could have been "Man and single mother of two, killed...".

Really opens your eyes when stuff like this happens on your doorstep....

That is stupid, drunk driving is moronic. Take a ****in Taxi, dont put other people in danger.

We had 2 drunk driving accidents right outfront of my old house and I live in the boonies.

2 cars were racing, one stopped at the stop sign and the other rear ended the female driver and her friends in the car...a bunch of kids get out, throw a 24 in the ditch incase the cops came.

Another one, a guy was driving his car drunk, smashed into a cement tunnel that goes beside my house, its ground level but he drove off the road and smashed the edge of it, totalled the car and he ran away...cops went to his house and arrested him.

my dad had an accident there 2 yrs ago (june 21st) some cabbie was drivin fast in the rain and lost control and rammed my dad head on (my dad drives a airport limo) but yea.. this guy was trying to blamemy dad for the accident while my dad pulled to the right and he still hit him. this happen on (brock rd) i duno if that is near were your wife is, she might know about it. it was a good thing that the accident happen right behind a sub-division. On the side note the cops dont know how my dad lived this accident... from the photos u would be shocked. It was that bad.

Im still having a hard time with why the goverment wont stiffen up the penalites for drunk drivers, I think its bigger problem then street racing.

the one who died was 15
