Question Cutting grass

Ok, I'm just sitting here browsing the board and my neighbour's hired help (he's kinda old) starts cutting his lawn.

Well as you know it rained during the night and stuff. Isn't it bad or "not good" to mow the lawn while it's wet? Won't it **** up the mower (gas)?

I've always waited for my lawn to dry up before cutting the grass cuz you'd think that wet grass clogs the mower underneath.

yeah it's not wise to cut the grass when it's wet... you'd think the older they are the wiser they'd be... sigh

It wasn't actually my neighbour cutting the grass it's those guys who come in trucks with mower and such attached to the back in a hitch. They were actually young guys.

It's harder to push the mower through wet grass and it clogs up the blades easier, but I think that if you remove the grass uhm, build-up (???) afterwards then you should be ok.

And what, no more Reef girls?!? Boo!!

It won't do harm to the mower. The grass tend to stick together when wet and they become soft so not standing up compare to when dry. When you mow, the lawn mower will just run down the grass, but it will not cut it (not all). It can't because the grass are bent.

Grass will stick to the blades regardless wet or dry, because there is always liquid inside the grass itself.

After that, when the grass are dry, you will see some patch being taller then the other.

Since there's no more Reef girls though, RCE^RKT you should post more so that we can see your sig! Best sig on the whole board!! lol

Blah, I'm being made to go out and mow the lawn. I'm reading a thread about mowing the lawn and now I'm being booted out to really mow the lawn! Maybe I should read stuff about Cameron Diaz and we'll see what happens!
