computer programming jobs...

I'm looking to go back to Toronto this summer and wondering if anyone know where I can go find a job in this field or have hookups? I know all about the jobs sites and stuff but wondering if anyone working in the field that knows about openings where I can submit my resume. I have a computer programming degree and looking for a job in a related discipline.
Any help is appreciated.

What programming languages have you worked with?

I know 10+ programming languages and OS syntax. and I can't get a job as a computer programmer...

quite frankly I think Programming is a secondary skill you go into a job knowing how to do one thing then you use the programming to automate those tasks so that you can spend the rest of your time on here post whoring...:p

The main reason I went into networking instead of programming was because I didn't wanna do contracting work.

I work as a full time systems analyst.. Programming is the easiest part of my job..

Hard part is dealing with users.. Trying to get an accurate clarification of commitments.. Damn users don't even know what they want.. On top of that, the whole bureaucracy of the office life is enough to wanna make you kill everyone. Add ignorant managers, hardware woes, strict deadlines, and of course braindead co-workers and you got yourself setup for an early death due to stress.

I just asked what languages he works with because I have friends working in quite a few companies doing the same **** i am and I could pass info on.

Thanks for the replies, I've done C,C++, VB.. knowledgeable in databases as well such as DB2, MySQL and web languages such as HTML, and PHP.... I appreciate the help guys.... I'm fairly a new graduate too so it makes it hard to find a job.... trying to find as many sources as I can to get into a company and work my way from there hopefully...
