you have to reinstall windows, or remove any new hardware.

---

you have an ati video card? pop it up and boot.

or go through safe mode and remove all the video cards in the add/remove hardware section.

reboot, download and install new video drivers.

If you just do a re-install you will loose no data (aside from the Windows system files, obviously)

Do what BruceFee says.

If that's not the solution:

1. load up in safe mode and run chkdsk(no scandsk in XP). You'll find it in Mycomputer>C Drive(assuming this is your HDD)>properties>tools>error-checking.

That probably won't work but give it a try.

ORRR

2. Change boot order to CD ROM and put in XP CD. Load up and try to repair windows. IF you can't get it to boot, use a startup disk and run dos prompt. From there depending on your ramdrive use the cd path E:\I386\winnt.exe.

ORRR

3. Take out your HDD and install it as a slave to someone else's PC. XP will detect it and you can get all your files. THEN do what you gotta do.
