I'm sure other places besides Ontario will still get snow...

imported_Bruce Fee 18-Dec-2006 01:10 PM

Canada's population limits what effect we have... look at india, china, the us, etc and talk to them... as far as i'm concerned, there isn't much i can do, so i'm just gonna buy property above sea level and maybe a floating docket and get ready for the beach in the city!

Gallagher 18-Dec-2006 01:13 PM

Wait till all the ice bergs start to melt and then we will see who's in trouble!

We may not be able to 'reverse' the damage we've done, but we sure can slow it down or even stop it from continuing.

imported_Cablerat 18-Dec-2006 02:15 PM

The same **** happened to us in 1998. It was friggin hot until like Jan and then we got hit with a big storm and the army had to come dig us out....

are you sure about that? do you have any idea how bad the lead acid battery your hybrid uses is for the environment?

clean air is useless if your soil is toxic.

yeah I'd love this part.. but the hole in the Ozone that is still there and growing .. won't help us out at all .. those same women will get skin cancer and die....

hmm maybe there is some benifit to keeping your women covered up :p

Anyways as for who is responsible... We are more responsible then you would like to admit. Sure China and INdia and the USA are really terrible. but look at what Canada is doing.. We have one of the largest carbon dioxide removing forests in the world, the boreal forest, which at one time stretched from the hudson's bay down into southern Ontario. We have removed closed to 3/4's of this forest and it's still one of the biggest, now they are talking about allowing cuts to take place above the cut line. to wipe out more of the carbon dioxide removing forest. Then to top it off we are clear cutting BC's rain forest, and strip mining the oilsands. Sure most of this stuff gets exported because of demand, but just because you can sell your sister into an illegal sex trade because there is demand for her doesn't mean you will.

We control the most natural resources of any country, and we sell them off for what we like to call profit, but it's not profit because the future of our country depends on keeping those resources and using them in a sustainable way so that future generations can also enjoy a profit from them.

gatherer, what if we nuked the rest of the world, then we could cut our forest and we'd be okay still cause the rest of the world wouldn't be polluting so much!
