Anyone having troubles with their IPOD?

Okay... I updated my 4th Gen IPOD 20GB... and everything seems to been working smoothly till all of a sudden while I switch into the games section then the whole things FROZE!!!! now it won't even turn off while I hold the Pause/Play button down... I'm freaking out since it hasn't budged for the past 3 hours.. I'm trying to let the battery die out.. but that'll probably take hours since it's practically not even consuming power. Is there any way to turn this thing off? like a fail switch of some sort?... I'm pissed. I even tried connecting it to my comp.. and nothing and I even tried charging it to see if it'll go to charging screen but it didn't budge either......

i believe its an internal battery. Only thing i can suggest is take a screwdriver and take it apart, disconnect the battery that way

throwing it in a bowl of water might turn it off.

Thanks for the advice guys... but it finally shut off after 6 hours.. and it's working perfectly.. i heard that it messes up when there is a corrupt bad file since the ipod won't recognize what to do so it just freezes... so I'm gonna have to format the IPOD and check all my mp3 before uploading them.. which sucks since I had 1000 uploaded already, but yeah here's a lesson for people that are in the market for ipods.. piece of @%#!.

Ipods are awesome, its just people that dont take care of them and dont check there songs before uploading em that have problems. My only complaint is my battery is starting to go rather quickly now but its a 3rd gen so its not brand new.
