anyone else in the 416 having troubles with there bell sympatico?

Just seeing if anyones having problems with their bell sympatico connection?

My internets been down for a few days, I try fixing (I tried connecting with out a router) it and nothing. So I call, they make me set up a new connection and it works only if I do not go through a router.

He tells me they are having lots of troubles with connections in the 416 and it should be back up in 24 to 48 hours running normal.

anyone else having the same problem?

i use to have that exact problem man, i had to call bell, they came over and said it was an outside wire that was badly connected, give them a call and explain to them the problem and set up an appointment so they can fix it, my internets working perfectly know, give it a try man.

you live around the watermain blow up area?

416 area.

Midland to Mcowan (I think)
Sheppard to Ellesmere

All bell land lines have been down for days. This includes internet.

A watermain blew up and flooded a bell switch building frying all the hardware.

actually it was Midland to Markham ... Finch to Ellesmere...

that was any interesting issue to deal with when I came to work last week...

Anyways the best thing to do is call up and request they send someone out to check your line... if you don't live in that affect area

thanks for the clarifications.. couldn't remember the region.

It's weird though cuz I was at second time around tire @ Kennedy and progress and their lines were out too. They said Bell told them it was because of the water issue.

I do not live in those areas either but it should be back to normal by tonight.

I can get internet at home but not through a router, until tonight I hope.

I know this may sound weird, but sometimes my Modem overheats, I unplug it, place it near my window for about 30 minutes, and when it's cool, plug 'er back in, and she goes quick.

Bell Sympatico - Hi-Speed
SpeedStream 5200 Modem.
