I ride, I'm on an older Specialized...
not really sure where to ride in hamilton...plenty of nice riding in barrie, and if you can make it out towards ganeraska...
but I'm sure there is great stuff in hamilton (escarpment)

I need to get a bike....been wanting one for a while.
wouldn't want to get to deep in the pockets with it though, just in case it doesn't pan out.
Probably a mega cheap bike to start.
Ganeraska looks good, so does Long Sault out by Mosport

Although I can mountain bike by myself, I have a hard time road biking by myself, I get bored too easily (its not horrible if I bring tunes, but still not great for long rides)...

Hey Mark! I know, I know...we have to get out soon!
I've got a Kona Kula Primo for XC and a Devenci Hucker for jumping and downhill.
Anywhere really along the Bruce Trail is decent. The Rail Trail in Dundas is good, basic, with a lot of more technical side trails. There are dirt jumps at Warren Park in Dundas. Waterdown has a lot of great trails near Clapson's Corners to Burlington. Kelso in Milton is good. There are the Short Hills in Fonthill/St. Catharines. Hardwood Hills in Barrie. And of course Blue Mountain!
You can also pick up a trail guide from most mtn. bike shops.
Happy riding!

I downhill bike.
There is a place right by blue mountain in collingwood called three stage. Its free and has crazy trails. It works better with at least 3 people so one can pick you up at the bottom while the others ride and then take turns.
Bring a first aid kit though... I needed it twice

Kelso is still my favourite... but haven't gone out in 3 years or so...
I heard dundas is a nice place in Htown...
My FS becane is gathering dust, funny thing is, I've been upgrading parts on it for 2 years and I haven't even taken it for out...
CHIG, maybe you can organize, it does help to have MTB buddies...
unfortunately, my MTB buds moved a long time ago...
