Any help or suggestions with my advertising project
Hey Everyone,
I'm doing a advertising project for one of my courses. Just trying to get some feedback and suggestions for some ideas. Marketing students or grads chime in, Any help is appreciated.
Basic run down of information:
Developing a advertising and promotion plans for a newly created community.
-It's for a adult community up north near Barrie, for those people who are about to retire in the ages of 55-65 years old.
It's going to include a town square which has post office, pharmacy, video store, squash courts, swimming pool, tennis court, cycle paths, and golf course.
-400 detached dwellings on 40 foot lots, prices range from $135,000-$145,000 and are all single storey houses with no basements or garages, they are suppose to reflect small town Ontario.
-Community is aimed at people who are active and want to feel connected to a community
Feedback for the following:
-Help with a community name and slogan...exampe..
"Sunny Grove" the community setting the standard.
-What ameneities do you think people in this target market are looking for?
-What types of activities do you think they are interested in?
-What would be reasons why they wouldn't move from the city?
-Is location, price and convenience a factor in moving?
-What events can be put on to attract them to open houses? It would have to be something for their whole family.
-What media do you think they'd use mostly?Radio?Newspaper/Magazine? TV?
Keep in mind the target market is couples aged 55-65 years old in the GTA. And cost at this point isn't a factor so we can do whatever we want.
Thanks for those that help with any positive feedback.

hospital close by.
1.Golf Course
2.Community Centre.
3.Large shopping plaza/walmart/...
4.Family Park/pond/...
What would be reasons why they wouldn't move from the city?
1.They own a huge house and are wealthy.
2.They own business in the city.
3.They want to stay close to relatives.
The community might want to add more expensive homes to attrat wealthier couples.
your market is for middle class parents, who are retired.
