Any Dog owners?

We have a 7 month old chihuahua that we need to get neutered. What's the average price you paid to get your dog neutered/spayed?

We've been taking him to the North Town Animal Hospital in Brampton for shots but they seem pricey.

I can't remember but I know it wasn't expensive or I wouldn't have done it. I took my dog to Southdown animal clinic in Mississauga.

I think our female was about $300. I think males are cheaper to do becuase the surgery is simpler.

Having a dog isnt cheap and my wife never complains about prices. She spends more on dog toys, treats and crap then on me.

Ive found that the actual drugs or shots are cheaper, its the visit that the extra cost is. We just had her bordetella shot done. It was about $75 for the visit and $25 for the shot.

A few hundred bucks a year isnt much for a healthy dog and a happy wife.

licensing is only $20 in brampton

it's a scam in toronto where it costs over $100 even more i think

as for shots, they're not a scam

our dog has already been on anti-biotics once.

licensing is a scam, big time.

just call three places near your house. I don't think you want to be driving to milton and back to save $30.

males get neutered, bitches get spayed. totally different surgery. guys are cheaper. you can have fake ********* implanted too.

a chihuahua? man, that's more of a rodent. i had to walk my ex-girlfriends stupid chihuahua. 14 hole steel toe boots, black cargo pants, black t-shirt probably with skulls or obscenities, 6" spiked goatee walking around downtown at midnight with a chihuahua on a pink leash.

----

you can get a lot of medication for your dog off the net.. pills are much cheaper online!

the medication wasn't expensive. It was around $25 and did the trick.

And yeah, I wanted a doberman, but honestly, the chihuahua is a lot of fun minus the fact that I feel like a bitch when I walk him.

Plus they're really cheap and easy to maintain. It takes me like 2 minutes to give him a bath and it's no work because he's so small that I can hold him in place with one hand and wash with the other.

One bag of food lasts like 3 months and I'm not even talking those big bags. He's also pee pad trained so don't even have to let him out to pee or ****.

Ditto. Our Miniature Pinscher is super easy to take care of. Her pee is nothing if she has an accident and a her poop isnt some giant sized pile. She barely sheds and hrdly eats anything. I tell every one shes a Dob puppy and they stay away from her because she is still super hyper and looks mean.

Because some people don't want the added responsibility of dealing with of a litter of puppys??
I have a 14 year old male pitbull that was never fixed. But both my females are fixed because they have a higher risk of getting cevical cancer when they are not fixed. Use your brain man.

I paid around 300 for my last dog for neutering, and my buddy paid around 250 at another vet for spaying.

I'm still waiting to neuter my dog, he's 9 months old

I want to do mine asap because he's going to start marking his territory soon and he's an indoor dog so that won't be fun.

yeah, your guy is probably fully grown or near as big as he's gonna get by now so it makes sense.

My dog is kinda small for his age, so I'm waiting for him to fill out before I do anything.

Not everyone lives in the city. And I don't want to worry about my familys safety when Im not home. Not to mention I work in a prison and don't need to have the wrong people looking for me.
