Chris, if you don't mind me asking how much do you charge for a timing belt/water pump job on average?

as far as I remember changing the timing belt in my ek was like 250 , maybe 300 but not more than that

The belt itself is like 50 $ i think

Unless your mechanic changed the water pump too , otherwise he charged you too much

I hope you know that it is highly recomended to change the timming belt and water pump together since the pump is located underneath the belt ... If he didnt do it , and you pump goes , be ready to pay for a timming belt job again

I spoke to my sis boyfriend who works at honda

timming belt - 46 $
water pump - 128 $

So if he changed both , 200 for parts , 250 for labour ... I think it is 3 hours labour so about 83 hourly rate..

Now if he didnt change the water pump , it would be 400$ labour , which is too much i think

I took my car to zoom the other day actually. They changed my rotors and pads with oem and brembo parts for all four corners. I also had them change my rear shock absorbers with kyb. Oh, they also did my clutch with exeddy stage 1, they had my flywheel resurfaced as well.

A+ work, they didn't rush anything or cut any corners. I go there all the time now.

I'm pretty sure I got an amazing deal... it took them 4 hours to modify the exhaust to fit. It was from a Type S and the had to make it fit on my Premi.

Then I had to go back the following week because the exhaust was hitting the bottom of my car, which they fixed in about 2 hours. They had to make a custom pipe to fix the problem.

Anyways... total for everthing was under $100.

Excellent, professional shop

Sounds like there's positive feedback. If anyone has a contact name, please PM Admin, and there's always the option of them becoming a TCC Vendor.
