I guess that's why my Dad always reminds me to check the oil level on the motor...

But this is the first time I heard something like this happened to Honda.

Sorry to hear that Zack!

regards,
Mugen C

I'm guessing two or more cylinders were warped to ****, which destroyed the piston rings, which in turn leaked crazy oil into the cylinders. Comine that with "semi-hard" driving and you've got a recipe for disaster. What I don't understand is how Zack didn't notice all that blue smoke puffing out of his exhaust. Losing that much oil that quickly could only mean it's being burned out of the exhaust... unless there was a huge crack on the block but I think Rick wouldv'e noticed that.

Lack of oil pressure was one of the contributing factors in the demise of my little ZC...it does happen...and it suz when it does.

Sorry ot hear it Zack buddy...so what options do you have now? I saw your other posts about $o but you must be able to drum a little something up from various sources??

Forgot......the mechanic said the damage to my old engine was due to downshiting into, too low of a gear and reving the crap out of it, before it goes into another gear. Remedy........ don't do it, or get a bigger motor that can handle the constant redlining to 8000-8500 rpm's. (I allways check the oil, 2 - 3 times a week, but it still happened) "If you can't afford to pay, then , don't go out to play" Still sorry to hear what happened.

Hey Zack man

Really sorry to hear about your motor, but don't worry too much, things will be fine. Things could have been worst you know, like motor exploding or motor going insane and causing you to get into a car accident! Look on the bright side tho, you got an excuse to do a swap now! I gotta still drive my car more before I swap my engine.

As for when you do put in your new motor, take it easy superstar on the new motor! :working:

Like my boss likes to say: '**** happens, don't get all upset over it. '
