yeah, you definately need a spring compressor to get the old spring off the shock b/c you will most likely need to reuse your bump stops and spring perchs. You might as well go order 4 new upper spring mounts (little rubber peice that sits inside the spring perch) b/c the stock ones will be old and worn out.

Is it really hard to install lowering springs/coilovers? If it isn't too bad, I can save myself $200 dollars.

no no its not, very easy actually.

and you don't need a spring compressor, its just a little safer. I never used a spring compressor in the times i did mine. But i had air tools.
dont spend $200 way overpriced

You also had a couple of fools standing around holding their breath waiting to get hit with a stray spring.

Hahahaha....that he did.

It's really not too hard to do just grab a spring compressor from CT. It does cost to rent it but you get refunded when you return it.

just throw a blanket over the top hat, fire the impact wrench and it will be a little "pop" its off and everythings fine.

sorta like that

just throw the blanket over, sit on the fork in the rear and put pressure on the impact wrench when you remove the bolt

yeh go to the parts counter

ask to borrow the spring compressor (make sure its the one for the suspension, they might have another one of some sort)

most of the CT will make u go to the cash at front and u pay $120 for it on a visa, then when you bring it back in a few days they refund the money

or you can go to princess auto and get there version there. I bought mine from princess auto on sale, its very handy, alot better than the one from CT cause the one at ct is slow and takes forever to use.
