Woohoo 600kms!

I decided to go somewhat easy on my last test.

i only really went nuts 4 or 5 times this tank of gas but I managed 600 kms on 40Litres!

For those who care thats:

6.67 L/100KM

I'm sure if I babied it more, i could pull 650+ on 40L

Did you do a lot of highway driving??

I wish that I got milage as good as that! I guess that I'm just too much of a leadfoot.

The most i have ever got with my best behaviour was 678kms on 40L...that was shifting at the most 4,000rpms for that full tank...

I got 700 once driving to Ottawa and back...it was right after runing a can of slick 50 fuel system cleaner and the oil additive...that **** works wonders, makes the engine run smoother too generally tho 600 higway 500 in town/trompin on it... 40liters d16y7

im too scared to go all the way til my car dies...but im pretty sure my 89dx would get at least 700km on a full tank HIGHWAY ONLY driving...with my regular driving i almost always hit 600km/tank...not bad for a 14 year old car

Filled up before I went to States last week. When I got down there, it read just under 1/2 a tank left........total KM's up to that point? 447km (most of the time I kept it around 110km/hr)

Never got to find out what it could of done.......the blackout made everybody go nuts, and I HAD to fill it up.

Filled up at $1.56US/Gal. (not a bad price)

Hell, I've been trying to be a good boy with this tank of gas and all I got up to is just a tad over 450km! That's about 50km better than I'm used to doing. I guess that sitting in rush hour traffic is detrimental to my milage! I mean, I've always known that it was bad, but I never thought that it was *that* bad!!

Trying driving at 95-105 KM/Hr on the highway.....then see what you get.

The faster you go above that, the worse your gas milage will be.

The numbers you see on comercials are for the posted speed limit, or just below that. And if it's an American comercial, it will be 55/MPH......or just over 90KM/hr.
