winter tire plus steelie group buy

This is just a thought guyz...

I know A WHOLE lot of us are looking to buy new steelies and winter tires for this winter. I was wondering if we can somehow manage to get a cheaper price if we buy as a group.

I dono if any of our affiliates are willing to drop the price a bit more for a group buy but all I see is like 500-600 for steelies+winter tires, and then its the mounting balancing alignment on the side...

price just kills it.

I dono if any of you have any ideas...maybe we can head over to some tire distributor and tell em that we will make like 10-15 orders for sets..n see what they can do for us...

just an idea Im throwin up to discuss, leme know whos interested n if u got any hookups or ideas.

peace

I think the prices the Affiliates are offering are very fair. Even if you went to Walmart and bought the cheapest snow tires and steelies they had, you would still spend close to $500.

Buy a cheap used pair of steelies from the classifieds and a cheap set of snows from Walmart or C-T. Thats probably the only way you will get a set for under $400.

IVe been checkin the classified for sure... And yes u did get a deal..but I had a discussion b4..
and ppl said that its better to go with brand new then to go used...its your car..u dont wana mess up.

Thats true, but I didnt think it would hurt to ask if its possible to work out a cheaper price.

I think I'll get a pair of used steelies off the boards like u suggested and then spend a lil more on the tires..

check out some used tire places, I found a place with 2 14" nordic wintertrac + 2 steelies for 150, mounted and balanced. The tires were like new.

Why get used? The rims could be bent and deformed, which may alter your alignment.

steelies + winters group buy is a good idea and there is 1 listed in the group buy section...but with so many different tires available and varying prices, i don't see a vendor really offering this up...unless we get a tire store vendor like wheel and tire zone or 1010tires or something

exactly, especially 195/50/15, 205/50/15, 205/40 and 205/45 16 and 17" common tires like Yoko AVS100, Toyo Proxes 4, Falken 512. A vendor would likely sell quite a few of those over the summer if the price was reasonable...something most shops don't understand or believe in. For winters Blizzaks, Dunlop, Toyo...just give us a quality tire and we'd likely buy it up, huh, huh...any tire shops out there.

Does anyone know if the TCC 25% parts discount at Parkway Honda applies to snow tires?
