I drive a 92 civic and my drivers side power window recently went bonkers on me and now it wont go up or down when flip the switch. Someone said i need a new window regulator?.. any comments? And if it is that, does anyone know where i can get one CHEAP!?

Does it make any noise when you try to put it up or down?
Is it stuck down?

Power windows comming off their tracks are common in Civics. It has happened to mine once.

Take your door pannel off and take a look. If it's on the track then I would agree with everyone else and suggest the relay or motor.

Yeap it makes a noise when it goes up and down. but it doesnt move but when i close my door i hear parts and stuff moving around inside it .. *sigh.. poor baby..lol.. hehe..

I bet it's off the track/regulator. Pop the door pannel off and have a look see.

whats it mean if its off the track? and whats it mean if its on?... sorry im newbie.. first car hehe

See if your window is still in the up position then i'm not sure...
Mine was stuck down and it was off the track. Meaning the window was loose inside the door, not on the metal track. You'll understand if you look inside. The window will be loose if it's off the track. (ie. you can pove it with your hands)

If your window is still up then i'm not sure what it could be...

The window uses a track to go up and down.

If you can still hear the motor working whwen you prees the switch it means it has jumped..

Like Jaysi said take a look.

Much cheaper to fix than the relay..

Free if you DIY...
