1) who wears the pants in your relationship?
2) nice of you to consider your wifes knees!
(she should have used knee pads in the past) Just jk! relax
3) for the money you guys are willing to spend and the fact that you can pick color, car, etc, it's a fair deal. Your wife will love you for seeing her side which equalls brownie points, you kinda still feel like the man, and everyone is happy.
4)make sure you save your money for a house (if you don't have one yet) and get yourself something standard before you buy a house.
5)happy motoring

we bought a condo this year. The wife has a very good job , i m still umployed (got laid off last month) so hopefully i can get a decent job too.
I think we can afford a lease or financing on a newer car. however i dont think my celica would come true , but hey you never know

BTW the new car is more like a neccesity , because i have to drive my wife everywhere (she works far) so whenever i find a job she is going to have to get one for sure , so we may as well get a good car that can last for long

I'm really not exited to have this argument when I get married! Not at all
My future wife can buy her own car for all I care

However my point is if i m going to pay for half of it i should have a saying in this too right. BTW she wants a red car. Of course according to her the new car is going to be for both of us but i m starting to see it differently.

Plus , i got my parents against me and since i m 23 the insurance would most likely be under their name !

WTF you're 23 and married? way to go, im 23 too. and seems toooooo young to get married, didn't you think of the opportunities or dreams you wanted to achieve before getting married, what about all the free muff out there.lol

hahahah so true, if i ever get married and the wife tells me to do some thing, i'll take her to the bedroom and teach her a lesson. Mutual decisions are okay, but not one sided, in my house my fathers the man, he's a dictator and it works.lol

well its a long story . I achieved many of my dreams by 21 , i didnt even go to school an took 3 years off after high school (well i went for 1 year to college but it was mostly parties). I know i m pretty young however i dont regret getting marry . I dont want to become all sentimental and sh i t but it is nice to wake up everymorning beside the person you love. It's easier to move away from home with someone , better yet to be able to buy a condo and your own furniture and be living well.I m sure there are other marry people here

For me it became a little boring to hang out with friends and go clubbing . I much rather just go out with the wife for dinner or a walk in the park . To each its own but i can honestly tell you even thought its not really easy to be marry it is still better than when i was single (not married)

As her deciding to get an automatic , i won other battles in the past , I bougth a 42" LCD and a ps3 after some convincing.

Oh man in my house and mostly in her house the women wear the pants. So i m trying to slowly change in my marriage that but takes time i guess

wow. i have no decision making power on the next car we get in terms of whether or not it's auto or manual. apparently we're getting manual. my car right now is auto. the Fit we just got is manual and apparently our next car that will replace my car will be manual. but i have no say in the matter lol. he put his foot down before i could even argue.

... trust me, once you learn (and I will find a way), you won't want to go back... and by the time we get that car we'll most likely be very close to where we work so rush hour traffic and such isn't an issue... anything the size of an accord or smaller should be stick, anything bigger and maybe more luxurious, I'd re-consider...

back to topic, an automatic transmission that I wouldn't mind having would be the DSG transmission... when I worked at Audi I would love driving the A3 and the TT ... it was quick and even blipped the throttle when you "downshifted" ...

There are plenty of very nice a/t cars to choose from. Maybe not a new Civic, but a CSX or TSX if you don't mind spending the $$$. An Accord, Subaru LGT, Camry, the list goes on.

My wife absolutely refuses to buy a sedan or SUV, nevermind an auto. Anything with more then 2 doors or less then 6 speeds is out of the question.

Hey man i respect that, thats why i was surprised you were married and so young, thats kinda good in a way, you'll be able to save well in advance for your kids too, among many other long happy memories.

I agree what you said about the being single and friends and clubs, theres not much to do here then, do what all you mentioned with friends.

I guess to me marraige is the last thing on my mind because i tend to move fast in life, and would miss this speed if i got married, anyways i read that you guys got the car, congrats and best of luck.

yes, thats definately positive, working slowly to get your half of the pants.

a woman who listens to her man when he is reasonable leads a happy life but not otherwise
