Fram makes K&N. Thought you might find that interesting.

Also, because the K&N allows more airflow, it doesn't filter as good as you OEM paper type filer.

Hmm interesting, so is that to say the Fram is a good alternative to the k&n? I want to upgrade the air filter, then take out the resanator and run druer hose under the car to make an inexpesnive cai setup, and still be lookin stock.

Crappy Tire has them, ask at the parts counter. Speedtech also carries them (thats where I got mine).

Good luck.

I had one on my old car, I bought it from CT it cost about $80. Great investment. It improves your MPG. It'll pay for itself in a couple of months. Good thing about them is that you don't have to replace them, just buy the filter charger kit (basically a cleaner and re-oil kit) for about $15 and clean it after 50, 000km's. It supposedly does a better job than the OEM paper filter cuz it's made out of some special cotton with micro filters.

No, the K&N still gives you better airflow which equals more performance. Yeah I wanna do the dryer hose CAI too. But I was talking to this guy in my auto class that works in parts at Crappy Tire and he said there's no such thing as a resonator for the intake, only an exhaust resonator. Can anyone clear this stuff up for me?

They are different in that the Fram is made of paper element, while the K&N is the re useable element.
