any sort of magnetic drain plug will help. spoon prolly has just a stronger magnet...

i'll be putting these in next spring for both oil and tranny fluid ones.

If you goto dealer, can you ask them to use that instead of the stock one, but I guess if its threaded than ur screwed an oilpan voiding warrenty?

I ran out and checked this afternoon at First Markham place and the shops sell the Spoon magnetic plugs for a whopping $70

I think however, it includes both the oil plug and the tranny plug

So $35 each? Not too too shabby for a Spoon product

Isn't a drain plug a drain plug? I dun think there are any particular applications when it just comes down to a bolt unless it's particularly small/large which it'd be stupid
