Who here likes driving through tunnels?
#2
When I used to live in Vancouver back in summer of 2000, I always took my 2k Jetta through the big tunnel south of the city (lower main land for people from there, right before the bridge). Tunnels are sweet! Plus the cops out there are lazy, I burned around that town like a maniac and never once got caught.
But I don't know of any tunnels around here though; sorry Duy Oh, quick question about the new place for meets, do they have fuzball there too?

tunnels and underground parking lots are sweet ...
but i don't think there really are too many tunnels in ontario man.... i'm pretty sure most of the tunnels here are just those bridges for the freeways and they aren't usually very long either...
i think the longest one i've seen is just north of the kennedy commons on kennedy....
jitz rules!.... but i don't think they have tables at kennedy commons.....
where do you usually play?

Very VERY loud tunnel.
I used to open up the dual 4bbl carbs on one of my camaros and roar through that tunnel!

These aren't really tunnels, but about as close as you can get in the GTA.
-The onramp lane from Dixie road to the Westbound 401 (just before the lane merges with the 401, there is a small tunnel)
-Yonge Street under the 401
-Lakeshore Blvd. from Cherry Street to Spadina.

I'm waiting for my rims, tires and lowering to be done oh and the car to be checked out for that noise problem, before I'm ready to go on that cruise.
Besides, it needs to get just a lil more consistant with the warm weather and then we'll be good to go on a Friday or Sat night.

Mmmmmmm....tunnels!!!
The best tunnel (here comes the FOB in me) is the HK->Kowloon tunnel in Hong Kong...beware of rush hour though. It's amazing to cruise through at like 1am - 5am.
We don't have tunnels in T.O do we? Not any good ones...Lakeshore doesn't count!!

Have any of you guys heard of the Cheasapeake bay bridge-tunnel? its at the bottom of maryland connecting to virginia.
I drove it a few yrs ago. In total its about 17 miles long, and costs 15$ to use. It starts off as a brige ove the cheasapeake bay, goes for about 3 miles, then goes into a tunel under water, for about 5 miles, comes above water onto a bridge for 3miles, back under water for about another 5 miles, and then resurfaces again once you get to Virginia....
It was pretty sick
