Who has walked into a scrapyard without proper tools.. and then felt stupid?

I usually go to standards only when i need something that i know will be there. H22 you saw????? That will never make it to the yard and also they take the ecu's. There is an employee that works there who takes the good parts before they reach the yard. He's a Honda guy so he knows what he's looking for.
Standard is crap now, it use to be good 10yrs ago but not now.

you obviously have to pay for whatever you take out...
You may be able to get away with little sensors but other than that you have to pay...
and I wouldnt try to get away with small stuff as they have cameras around

Love goin to the wreckers!
Usually take in a crap load of tools...never know what you're gonna need...
I grabbed a bunch on knock sensor for my old volvo a couple years back and the guy said just take em. Same thing with some injectors. Most of the guys their are pretty easy to talk to/negociate. About 5 years back I took out a volvo turbo and they wanted almost $200 for it, but I got them to come down to $100.
