My car's automatic and it's slow. I originally bought it because we JUST needed a car, not to mod. But one thing lead to another and BOOM here we are. I do mods on it for show not for go. I can't afford to change my tires that often if I drag it and gas isn't exactly cheap nowadays.

I think racing an automatic civic is ghey. But nothing wrong with modding the damn thing.

Alot of people presume that people with automatic cars can't drive stick - not true at all. Can I drive stick - YES and yes, I'm a lil' rusty.

I drive an auto, and I really don't care what people think of the auto, car still does what I need it to do. Makes commuting easy, put in drive and go.

i used to drive an auto and people always tells me why the hell would i want auto for a 2 door car especially a civic, well cause i can't drive stick. I did a conversion and i know how to drive stick, it's so much fun but its a little annoying when u get stuck in traffic. If you want to go show then get an auto but if your planning on going to the strip and expecting to have fun better get a stick

I think stick is waaay more fun, and after having a stick car i wouldn't ever get an auto one.... later on down the road however as i become family man...... waaaaaay down the road i'm sure the family van or SUV or something like that would be auto! lol but as for all the cars, stick4life baby!

After the first time I learned how to drive stick, I'll never go back to auto. You just don't have the control and fun that a stick car provides.

Oh.. and slightly off topic.. cosmic girl said gas isn't cheap now-a-days.. Just thought I'd give you some info.. Parliment and Wellesley.. gas stations there are really cheap for gas.. I gassed up today @ 57.9. The Esso, Beaver, and Petro are there.

And I use to drive automatics only... cuz my parents' cars were auto. Then I got my Civic.. and now I drive manual. Hey man.. I had to learn to save that $1000!

I agree that stick is waaaaay more fun than auto, but you have to recognize that there are pros & cons to both.

The people who drive auto don't neccesarily WANT to drive auto but have their own reasons. Hell, if it was up to me I'd be driving an M3 not a Civic. But we can't always get what we want, right?

Automatic is fine...I know for a fact that yah lots of people like to say ..ohhh ur car is auto...i c...type thing..but hell who cares if it looks fine

We as Honda owners know that our cars go slow unless we have swapped..so yah..

Although, I do drive stick and ever since i started...I have never wanted to go back to auto....stick is so much more fun and way more awesome...but hey auto is so nice and easy!!
well..so is stick now that im accustomed to it

Wow! I can't believe how many of you are drive automatic cars. What's up with that? You guys don't know what you're missing. I've been driving a standard car for 11 years and I can tell you right now I'll never go to automatic.

gcivic claims it is annoying to drive 5 spd in traffic. I beg to differ. That's when fun really begins
