i do it myself

question for those running synthetic or motul... my car has about 170k now on it's d16... am i gonna notice any differences if i switch to motul from regualr honda oil?

no.. and I wouldnt recommend it. Your engine was made for conven. oil, so stick with it.

i goto crappy tire. just because my friends work there..and i trust them..they are good mechanics..
but..i'm going to Honda tomorrow..why? becuase i'm LAZY. lol..

not even quieter idling or more response eh? that sucks cause i can get that stuff for dirt cheap... not worth paying i guess.

I used Motul on my old D16 but I was racing it. As far as power increase, I couldnt' say I felt it but the engine ran smooth.

its funny that this thread is up cause im actualy doing mine as soon as i get the time this week... gotta head over to ct and get an oil filter some oil and 20min of my time or so at home and its good to go.... sure i could pay someone to do it... but wheres the fun in that?

I do it...

don't trust the jacka$$es... they always overfill/underfill... put crappy oil... and don't tighten the filter enough...

its so simple too... just don't understand sometimes...

As a city employee i have access to the cities garages, which i may add makes me feel like a kid at toy's R us whenever i'm in there. So i'll either do it there depending how busy the guys are, or in the comfort of my own garage at home~

i think im gonna try motul anyway when i change my oil next month... i push the little d16 a lot so maybe it will help a bit.

how often do u do an oil change - honda recommends every 6000km believe it or not...

myself or honda, only go to honda because of the free carwashes but recently my bill has be around 40$ when it use to be 34-35$
