Metro crackdown

Not too sure if anyone posted this yet but Metro is currently running (more like extending) the "punk" crackdown.

Things they are looking for agressive driving, loud mufflers, loud music (rap) guess any bling bling.

I just finished swaping the stock muffler back until the heat cools off.

Some of you may have heard the alert on 680, just wanted to post to inform all those guys that listen to loud rap music besides 680 in the car

I don't see them punking off Harley owners for exhaust..

Smells like B.S to me..

-Obey speed limit..
-wear seatbelt
-dont drive eratically
-dont have crazy colored light bulbs

You shouldnt get a ticket if these are obeyed. Anyone can get stopped and checked, doesnt mean you're gonna get a ticket.
Noise violation tickets are bogus. Ferraris, Lambos, Porsches, Harleys are all naturally loud cars, so thats a bunch of crap !

They're just trying to scare you......

os..and make sure you have your catalytic converters on.

I wonder that too...
Why is it illegal for us to have exhaust which make some noise, but a Harley can be left alone?

yeah tell me about it, 680 said they are cracking down on agressive drivers, but then they also say they are also cracking down on annoying drivers.

First i though great now they'll nail all those stupid drivers who drive slow in fast lane.

NOPE they R targeting people playing loud music (like rap music they said) and people with loud exhaust.

Seriously though, Harley exhaust much louder than most imports I've seen.

what would happen if you get a ticket for improper muffler or whatever... and you get a court date... and when your in doing the court thing you ask why harleys are allowed to be so loud... when clearly your car isn't as loud as a harley???

No but they are still covered under section 75 of the H.T.A

" Every motor vehicle or motor assisted bicycle shall be equipped with a muffler in good working order and in constant operation to prevent excessive or unusual noise and excessive smoke, and no person shall use a muffler cut-out, straight exhaust, gutted muffler, hollywood muffler, by-pass or similar device upon a motor vehicle or motor assisted bicycle. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 75 (1)."

So, what does that have to do with noise? Catalytic converters don't have much of an impact on noise. I don't see your point.

Like SiR-Racer said I think they would just say that Harleys get pulled over too.

What a drag this crackdown is... and the funny thing is that
it's totally working...

Nobody wants to hang at the hot spots anymore where all
the cool carz use to hang out... bc you can easily be down $110...

Now the import scenes are slowly fading away ...

I am now hesitent of modifying my car further bc of the hassles,
which I am considering of getting out of the scene, maybe...
