Where do you Scrap Cars?

Hey guys,
i gotta VW Jetta with too many problems, gas leaking, body is in bad shape, etc. I wanted to know if you guys new where i would be able to scrap it.. or shall i say a company who would pick it up and take it away for little to no cost.

check the classifieds in the paper, usually there are one or two people who pick it up and sometimes they even pay you!

call up a towing company they will come and pick it up and give you like anywhere from 20-120 dollars for it.

Would it matter if the car is registered to me or not? i originally bought the car thinking that i would be able to fix it up... but my mechanic said i would have to invest wayyy to much money.. so i havent switched the ownership...

yea..i guess i can post it in the Classifieds.. but can i sell it without changing the ownership to myself because i wouldnt want to pay the taxes when switching ownership

uyea i believe u can sell without changing ownership.. then all the new owner does is go change it.. im nos ure th o.. my friend did this .. doono if its legal or not tho

remove all vins, plates and just leave it on the side of the road, someone is bound to take care of it.

You can still scrap the car without it being in your name. Call any place in the yellow pages, there is tons of them who will take scrap cars.

As long as you have the ownership they will take it. It doesn't matter who's name it is in.

how about a car without the front/rear bumper, engine, doors, and all the interior parts, just the frame only? will they towing it out?
