unless the accident has been reported, and the car had a salvadged title, you will not know explicitly.
frames may be re-welded at factory weld points, etc. damage may be hidden really well. sometimes you can spot obvious things like repainted parts that seem out of place, lack of VIN stickers on body panels, but unless you happen to be knowledable or lucky, you may never know
