What's the law?

Hi Guys,

I'm wondering what's the law about repairing vehicles on the street?
I park on the street cuz i don't have a garage or street. I want to repair some stuff on my car and general maintenance such as oil change.
I've been lookin on the web and couldn't find any answers.

If someone knows, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for now.

if ure doing an oil change in your street, i dont think anyones gonna care as long as u dont drip oil everywhere. You can get tickets for having a license plate cover, but what cops gonna give u a ticket for that?

are you serious? I barely see any cars with mud falps anymore

-----unless you plan on putting the oil down the sewer you wont have a problem. I change the oil on my car all the time on the street using the curb because my car scrapes the ramps before the tires even touch them

Impeding Traffic. The city you reside in might have a by-law against it.

you live in an apt? or you rent a basement or something?
no garage? any driveway? or lawn?
talk to the house owner if you rent a basement, offer them free oil changes too....

for apt. i seen people do it in the their own parking spot in the underground parking...

so its really unnecessary to do it on the street, and also its not legal to do so... its for the safety of yourself and to keep the road clean!

you have lots of options... if you know some garages, its only $25 for a nice oil change.... i know we should all do it ourselves coz its the easiest thing... but $25... full oil change with new oem oil filter.. i also get tires compression check/pump free, and free windhsield fluids too.. and last time the garage also top my rad fluid too.... nowadays, garage just offer you the most service for the cheapest it can be
