Whats with the high priced civics

Why are people on this website charging so much for cars. A 10 year old civic with 200,000 km cost 7000 on this website>???? why ? you can buy these things for half the price. And then they have the nerve to put no low bowlers- lol- why - do you want to sell the car or not. ???? There should be a price range for cars we should post- lol

lmfao ditto
WHY?
btw op this way you can check if the user has posts and see if he had problems with the car or not etc. plus you can kinda tell what kind of a person one is by reading their posts.
again if you find better cars on toronto.kijiji.com go right ahead

Does it really matter though? Worst case scenario the car doesn't get sold. But it certainly doesn't affect you.

Just make him an offer. If it is around going rate then you're not lowballing.

It's a civic site. Prices for civic are stupid high in the GTA. Any where else they're decently priced.

Those who have invested so much into their car, yet never get the money back. Dirt cheap from my perspective.

Move onto the other 1,000,000 cars for sale.

It's the high demand created by young jdm ricers who all want to get a civic as their first car, put a lip kit on it, lower it and drive it like they stole it.
Heck, if I had a high mileage civic, I'd sell it at a super inflated price too. Some noob would by it.

I kinda felt the same but I was'nt gonna cry about it. I was looking for a 99-00 SIR and could only find cars with 200,000+ Kms for like $7000+

Kept looking around and found one much cheaper with 100,000 less km's..if the person does'nt want to budge on price they are not serious about selling.

Then dont buy it. What people are asking and what the car sells for are totally different. If the seller still has the car in 2 months, that maybe that will be telling them something.

Very very true. It is a very popular car, not with just the kids, but for the average person who wants a reliable and fuel effecient car.

Crazy is not the person who asks, but rather the person who pays whatever the seller is asking. If you think the price is too high, don't buy it.

If I were to buy a Civic I'd look at the classifieds before looking at getting one from this site.

If you're serious about buying a car, you will find one at a good price, keep looking. Cars are selling at prices lower than ever because of the falling economy!

Civics are good cars anyway you look at them.

Ya they're entry level small fuel efficient econoboxes. But they are also the most modifiable and tune-able cars in their class. They are class leading in performance (SiR, Si models) fuel efficiency, light weight, and reliability. 200,000kms to a civic is just broken in. 200k on a cavalier and they are worthless-falling appart pieces of junk, I know I had one and took care of it. Corolla's, jetta's, golf's, cavaliers, they are all not nearly as modifiable nor are there anywhere near as many aftermarket performance parts available. Corolla's may be as reliable, but the others don't even come close.

Just look at the engines alone; The B-series and k-series engines are the lego block engines of the industry with many of the parts for either series engines interchangable with eachother (b-seires parts between b-series engines and likewise with the k-series). Throw a b16 head on a b20 crv block and you have a very potent 2.0L that will still get over 30mpg. Put a K20 head on a k24 block and you have over 220whp without any other mods.

Some simple mods to the engine and suspension and you have a very quick well balanced race car that can take out cars said to be much quicker (experienced this first hand). Not many cars you can do this with.

You have to look deaper than the fact that it is just a civic. They have more value in them than other cars of similar years and class. With a little work they can become way more than just an econobox.

That's what civics represent to me and thats why people are asking so much money for them.

If you think they are asking too much, don't complain. Just keep looking untill you what your looking for in your price range.
