What's the drop on my springs

I just bought 4 neuspeed springs from this guy

He said he didn't know the drop but knows that you can only fit 2 fingers between the wheel well and tire

I'd take pics but I'm at work now so ya I will tho when I get home

I called a mechanic and he said it's a 1.2 drop but I think the drop should be lower

If it is a 1.2 drop do I need to get perf. Shocks or can I stick with stock?
The mech also said I need lower control arms for the rear why is this (he said some technical **** and lost me)

Better question.. What's the stock uncompressed spring for a 99 civic?

You could use stock shocks if they're not too old. But they might give earlier. You should feel a big difference lowered with perf shocks vs stocks.
You do not NEED to upgrade the rear LCA's. If you can get those bushings out without a problem u can use your stock LCA's. If you can't, appearantly Honda does not sell the bushings+bolt seperately, they might want you to buy the entire LCA assembly. If that's the case, you're better off going aftermarket, and getting Blox or Omnipower, or whatever you want LCA's since it's not gonna be that big of a price difference.

90% of the time the bolts are completely seized there. So you HAVE to replace them. Unless your shop is flat out lying to you about that, another shop won't magically be able to get t hem off while this one couldn't (again, assuming your mechanic is not an idiot). The bolts with often break when they are removed. However, I don't see how he could have told you this FOR SURE over the phone. Are you sure he said that? Maybe he just said they will probably need to be replaced, but he has to see the car to know for sure.. there is a small chance they're not heh, very small.

You can get Blox rear LCAs from passowrd jdm for 160.

Did you call igarage? If so I had the same problem, mine were siezed on there and he said he would have to order new ones. ALWAYS trust everything igarage says, he doesn't lie to people like that. You won't find a more honest shop.

that depends if ur bushings are siezed to the bolts or not.
if they are, you'll have to replace the bushings for sure. Problem is, they're a biatch to get out if they're seized to the LCA's too.
You could go aftermarket and get energy bushings (not sure how much those are). But again, getting it out of the LCA will be difficult if they're seized.

I just learned this the other day, took a bit off this thread, and i went to pay a lil visit to one of my car buddies at his shop.

Do some more searches for yourself =) i've learnd a LOT from reading some old posts on here!!

If you torch it it will mess up the bushings so they will need to be replaced anyways.

your stock struts will be fine with not that much of a drop. The only real way to fine out what the drop would be is to get the model number of them.
