What should I do what Should I do?
My girlfriend lives, 1h 30mins away and i'm gonna be getting a car soon "civic of course" I'm not sure what I want to do.. Plans.. Engine swap, change everything just about. I don't want to put all those km's on my car though, for the time being because she will be going to cennential college which is 15 mins away form me, I'm thinking I should just do exterior mods, and interior mods for now, but i don't want to be all show and no go...
Any suggestions?

It's your car, so do what you want. Personally I enjoy the basic bolt-on suspesnsion and engine parts. Having a show-type car will attract alot more attention, but mostly from the police and thieves. As for putting k's on it, it's a Honda so it can handle it. I've put over 100k's on mine in the past 3 years.

if you are trying to go for speed get a different model. Like a cx/vx. Something light, a SI is a hog, sure it has the luxuries of a sunroof and power windows/doors, but weight is ur enemy in terms of speed.
Plus if you plan on changing everything anyways, why not start with a basic platform?
If i would have taken this into consideration when i bought my car i would have bought 92-95 cx/vx hatch. But i wasn't planning on heavily modding my car when i bought it.

Just my opinion. Of course, it's your car and you have the final decision but, I've always favored the "sleeper" look. Good luck with the mods.

So, with the proper engine mods, suspension adjustments and application specific tires, our cars can look almost completely bone stock but, still be a menace on the track.

I understand that but, please, give me the benefit of the doubt here...chew on this for a sec, if you save whatever money you planned on spending on kits, etc, let it sit in a bank, collect interest, save more money and you can do even more performance mods than you had anticipated. I'm not sure how it is in Toronto, but, most of the cars here look almost bone stock except for a lip here, rims there and the occasional wing or two. The reason being is cops are attracted to elaborately decorated vehicles. With Japan being such a small place compared to Canada, often times we hardly need the horse power ratings we needlessly install into our vehicles.
