what sensor is this and some body questions
 

hey guys i wanted to know what sensor this was cuz i just installed a short ram and wanted to know if it was important

also

unfortunately when backing out the car the right bumper clipped the wall and the bumper got torn out

i managed to fit it back on but im worried that the bumper will fall out on me so what would be your suggestion to fix this

basically the hole that was on the bumper (hole which attaches to the fender) basically is a big semi circle (dont know how to explain but im sure you can visualize what i mean

i was thinking if i used body filler will it be all right?


PLEASE HELP IM DESPERATE FOR THE BUMPER ISSUE

That's your MAF (Mass air flow sensor) and yes it is imported. Body filler will do nothing, it's not made to hold parts on, just to fill dents, just put the screw back in but add a bigger washer and make sure you get it tite ass hell.

how do i integrate this sensor into the intake? so i just drill a hole and stick it in

Air intake sensor is what it is called. Used to measure the amount of air the engine takes in. Not having it hooked up can cause all kinds of drivability problems. Stalling, misfires, poor acceleration. Your check engien light will probably be on too.

Maybe you should have bought the proper intake.

the map sensor ontop of the trottlebody measure how much air goes into the engine. thats the air temp sensor, not the maf like i said.

actually it drives fine acceleration is massive now

kk so about the bumper it was a clean rip (if that makes sense) a bigger washer would work well but again im scared that the bumper will slide off the screw (this is why i said body filler to stop it)


also theres a gap between the bumper and fender now i know this is stupid but will a body shop be able to fix this EASILY? (considering maaco cuz i dont really care about the paint right now)

its connected to my intake manifold so its reading the temperature of my engine bay and not the air flowing in (shouldnt it be the same)

body filler will not hold it on, it's not designed for streath, it's made to fix dents, and i'm guessing your talking about the front bumper.

It does not read the engine bay temp, it measure the air temp going into the engine, and no the temps are not the same, and it's not installed on the manifold, it's mounted to the intake, not the intake manifold.

yes front bumper but is there any kind of putty/ filler that would work?

my bumper did the same thing to me, i just put the screw back in, and never had a problem with it, and yes they is a epoxy you can use. Buy the 2 or 5 minute epoxy, that will hold it, but you mite not be able to get it off again very easy.

And for the sensor can I split the tubing going into the engine and have one connected to the sensor and the other into the engine??

That sensor has to go into the intake piping. The epoxy is called 2 min epoxy, you can pick it up at any parts store.

If that intake kit was specifically for your car, there should be a hole in the short ram pipe and rubber grommet for that sensor to fit in nice.

could use the epoxy or a JB weld plastic type epoxy scuff it good use the epoxy and then re-drill your needed hole and reinstall.

drill a goddamn hole in the intake and put a gromet and put the IAT sensor in where its supposed to be.

then zip tie your bumper on drift kid style
