This is what happens when (56k warning)

...you get cut off and hit a lamp post at 70kph (approx 45mph).
Long story short, I got cut off at an interscention (he turned into my lane from the turning lane), avoided the guy and hit a lamp post. Car was a total write off. Since the guy took off and the cop didn't see him I got a careless driving ticket (fighting it, cop wasn't paying attention). My insurance has also dropped me but I have hope.

She's seen better days. After looking at this pic I'd glad I'm still here to post this. Car didn't have air bags and I cracked my sternum on the steering wheel.

I hit with so much force that all the exhaust hangers broke off the car. Notice the muffler sticking out so far. The piping was fine though

Here's the engine bay. Notice that the engine is off center and pushed back to the fire wall, again because of the force I hit it with.

Another engine bay shot.

Finally the pole itself.....well, at least I dealt with that ******* pole. (Sorry some of the pics came out shitty.)

I miss the car, especially after looking at these pics. I wish it never had happened but ah well, on to bigger and better things. I'll have a new ride with in a few months (start/end of Sept, I hope as my insurance is up in Oct, then I be screw with no car to drive). I miss being able to work on her
But on to better things, you'll see

Sorry about your loss.

With idiots like that fool who cut u off on the road, it makes you want to rethink your instincts and just let them hit u.

I know now that I rather have hit the guy but when it happens you think and react differently. If put in my shoes most people would have done the same. Now I know though so next time I'll hit the bastard.
