What engine model is ZC?

Im looking seriouisely at getting a 4th gen or crx now. When I see the ads for the autotrader, some say they have the zc engine swap. If i went to look at these cars, any way I could tell for real if they had the swap done with that engine or not?

Thanks.

There is a SOHC and DOHC version of the ZC, also non-OBD and OBDI versions of the ZC exists as well... but neither versions had VTEC.

Ya, there are a couple of guys here in Barrie with ZC's, one is a SOHC and two are DOHC. I love that motor, the SOHC one eats Preludes for breakfast (car's pretty light)

not even worth looking at a SOHC unless its automatic in which case you should give yourself one of these

I never see u on icq anymore dave. I miss u man

I always thought your ride had vtec, man it just sounded so good.

Do they make a 130hp SOHC and DOHC? or is the DOHC only 130hp.

Look for the cam Censer on the exhust side

Zc will have one
88-89 tegz motor will not (looks the same and bolts in like the ZC so no mounts needed)

ZC has about 130hp and DOHC, non-VTEC.
Came in the JDM Si model.

If you're looking for a 4th gen bring a magnet. Body is more important than engine. I learned that the hard way...

Anyways I suggest a 2G CRX

i got a dohc zc put in my crx after the si engine blew, you'll notice the difference, u could just buy a crx or 4th gen then swap in a zc, may save yourself some money and headaches
