What to do....
 

I'm trying to figure out if its worth the money/hassel to get this car running. Right now the guy wants $2700 for it and he says the tranny is blown because it makes this loud clunking noise when it turns. I found a ys1 sir tranny for $500. So $500 for labour I'm assuming? $3700 when it's all done for this. Would you buy it and fix it?

loud clunking noise when the car turns? if im correct thats probally a drive shaft one on my crx went...not 100% sure though could be the tranny i guess? but i dont see what that has too do with turning enless a sycro is gone i unno? lol

yea i had that as well with my drive shafts im sure thats wud it wud be...maybe a ball joint??

i cudn't imagine turning effecting a tranny.

i dunno if i'd buy it because of the unknown problem, if i knew what the problem was then maybe..because it has some alright mods to it.

has the regular maintenance benn done to it?

when was the last major tune-up done?

u need or should get the correct ys1 cable tranny for that bad boy...unless u feel like buying the cable to hydraulic conversion kit...I'd just buy it cuz its a DB2

y1 tranny is just as close as gears as the ys1.

That gsr is very rare and the re sell on those bad boys are good.

right now if my car gets stolen or write off i get 4100 back
