This is a more realistic thread. If you had 10 000 (pleasee stay close to this budget so this can be realistic!!! unless there is rich people in this forum) to spend on a second car what would you buy ...

This does not have to be your daily drive , this is just the car you can afford to have park in your garage and just take out on the weekends , trips to the beach , shows , etc ... This is your toy basicly

This is the top 3 cars I would consider

1- Toyota Supra ( lately i seen a lot for under 10 000)
2- 300z ( i seen very few around he budget)
3- 3000 gto ( i know , going a little out of the budget)



just maybe vr6 corrado , stealth , Turbocharge eclipse ( older eclipse 97ish) and a skyline

id buy an gc impreza 2.5rs. then complete sti swap (engine, trans, diffs, 1 piece drv shaft, axles, hubs brembos, bigger wheels to clear brembos etc) with all maintenance done and from there start messing with suspension, eng management(tune), turbo back bigger turbo, and supporting mods then move on to cosmetic things....im considering this right now actually lol.

All those cars throw up a big red warning flag in my head because parts for those cars can be huge $$$. Plus I don't know about you but I don't envy anyone who has to work on a car like the dodge stealth aka 3000 GTO with a transversed twin turbo V6 and awd all jammed in...but that's just me.

I prefer simple smaller cars with 50/50 weight dist and good power to wieght ratio over some higher hp heavy-weight cars like those...

LHD drive supra only one id buy its to proper and u cant find that for under $25,000. id maybe go for a older wrx 92-95 range or 86 AE if could find one in good shape.

id buy an ej1 like what i have (si), fix up all the body proper. paint the car. amber corners, diy black housing headlights, 50/50 tails, oem nose mask, ferio spoiler, si i lip kit. find some gsr blades and wrap em. slam the car on probably function and form with some hardrace lcas and skunk2 camber kit. with the rest of the money i would totally rebuild the d16z6 and boost it at around 8 to 12 psi. also i re do the entire interior to black with red stitching and aptional armrest and jdm center console.

id say i could probably get the car for about 1000 stock, bodywork and paint would be about 2000 because id do it all myself, exterior mods would be about 1500 at most, suspension i could do for about 1200, rebuild the engine and boost would be about 3500. and about 800 for interior would leave me at pretty much 10 grand spent.

^^with this guy. Black ej1. Black, stock, dropped on some rims. Keep everything stock except interior, maybe few touches here and there, and build a track monster. The only thing is I'd blow good 5k on the power plant.

Otherwise a MK1 rabbit with built 1.8t and big turbo.

Oh and how could I forget about the all-trac celica 88-89?

does it have to be a car? if a bike probably a 750 gsxr or cbr600, but if car it'd have to be lincoln ls black on black with black rims or a mint corrado... a buddy of mine had one and I loved the look of it

Since I've had an amarican and a japanese car, if I had 10k to buy another I think I'll try a german car next. For 10k I'd look at some older BMW's I've seen some older 94-97 ish M3's for around that money or I'd go for a 328is, otherwise a 740il or 540i is also very tempting.

Impala, Camaro, Mustang (all before 1970, all convertibles ) Probably overhooting the budget a bit there though, lol.

10 g's I'd like to find either a 1st gen CRX and make a pure sleeper outta it or maybe an AE86 and swap in a s2k motor/tranny. The fiat and lancia suggestions are good too but if I were to go that route I's say the Lancia Delta HF integrale. The stratos was amasing but so few were made the parts would be hard to find. There is a company I forget who but they make a kit car version of it but it's pure garbage. there was an episode on Top gear about it.

To be totaly honest I think if you wanted to see a car guy go nuts you could say "here's 10 large, what toy would you buy?" some may know right off the top of their head but me, I'd need a little while to really find what i was looking for. So many come to mind. Porsche 914, lots of older muscle cars, wouldn't be my first choice but they'd be up there. SO may I don't even have the money and I can't decide. RX7's, Miata's can be good if done right but at 6'4" miata's and s2k's are a little tight for me. quite a few by Lotus I'd love to have also but then again like the miata, tighter then a nun's
